I’ve lived in New York and Los Angeles since the 90s but was raised outside Oklahoma City. As a kid, I had three best friends: an asthma inhaler, a voice in my head that said, “Don’t lose that inhaler!” and another voice that said, “Let’s dress up as a tiny Spock!” Yeah, I spent a lot time by myself.
Eventually, I grew up, made some real people friends, went to film school and built a career as a promo writer/producer for TV and movies. I’ve always been writing, playing around in improv and dabbling in stand-up but now I’ve made the switch, because I want to tell bigger stories, my stories.
I’ve written projects for TV, movies and theater. And whether it’s a comedy about hugs, a supernatural show about destiny or a movie thriller about fraud, there’s a common goal in my work. I hope to entertain while pushing the audience to open up just a little so that they can see another point of view of this crazy shared experience we live everyday.
I’m just getting started. More to come…
